スターリンは死ぬ前にその後継者であるフルシチョフを密かに呼んで
２通の封筒を渡しこういった。
「わが祖国が危機に陥った時、この封筒の指示に従え。」

　数年後フルシチョフは進退窮まって１通の封筒を開けた。
そこには『私を徹底批判せよ』とあった。
そこで彼は有名なスターリン批判を行い、この危機を脱した。

　また数年後今度は前回よりも大きな問題が生じたので、
フルシチョフは残りの封筒を開けた。
そこには 「お前の後継者に2通の封筒を渡せ」とあった。
